September 7, 2018 by Mike

It’s important I tell you how I broke my computer when I was 17 years old, since that act of carelessness on my part has left me kicking myself for decades and that machine shaped my life quite significantly.

Commodore 64

The Commodore 64 changed my life in a million subtle ways and frankly if I started going into detail about some of the things that might be different in the world now if I’d owned a Spectrum or a TRS-80 or something you’d be amazed.

XMPP Perfection

June 5, 2015 by Mike

I just came across a post titled In search of XMPP perfection while researching some stuff, and it’s a pretty solid set of words that gels with my own feelings about the state of the XMPP network. ChinWag Lives

May 13, 2015 by Mike

I’m going to draw a line under the ChinWag development blog at this point and say “phase one complete”. I have a working XMPP server, it’s cost very little money, it’s got a nice-looking site and a web chat client or two for ease of use for users if they can’t install software.
