I've been wondering why my Backblaze bill has been going up steadily over the last year and figured it was just general currency-related shenanigans and life in general, but I probably should have checked my object storage retention policy settings and not forgotten I was messing around with that last year too.

It's probably OK to allow things to be removed sometimes, once you've stopped fooling around with your backend and are no longer trying to stop yourself from making any mistakes that'd result in days of re-uploading files.

It's been a fun couple of weeks chilling and seeing shows and stuff but it's now sinking in that I have less than 24 hours before I need to remember how computers work.

Me, going from "I wonder how much a set of paddle controllers for a C64 go for these days?" to realising I have everything needed to fabricate some from nothingness to totality already in my house before breakfast.

I had quite a nap on the couch this afternoon because it turns out that spending two weeks getting out into the world and attempting to live life to its fullest is fucking exhausting.
