but it's me, not you

I feel like a grumpy crank but I really dislike short fiction posts that *look* like a regular post from someone until you get to the end and find out it's got some weird swing into nonsense.

I've muted a few tags to avoid a lot of them in my home timeline but occasionally follow a reply that looks like a normal reply to someone and get thrown into them.

Am I the only one here?

I've been wondering why my Backblaze bill has been going up steadily over the last year and figured it was just general currency-related shenanigans and life in general, but I probably should have checked my object storage retention policy settings and not forgotten I was messing around with that last year too.

It's probably OK to allow things to be removed sometimes, once you've stopped fooling around with your backend and are no longer trying to stop yourself from making any mistakes that'd result in days of re-uploading files.

It's been a fun couple of weeks chilling and seeing shows and stuff but it's now sinking in that I have less than 24 hours before I need to remember how computers work.
