I've tested all the components of my "dead" PC separately now. The CPU and RAM are fine. Used multiple GPUs and different power supply. The only thing left is the motherboard. What a random failure.

Yes, I swapped out the CR2032. Reset everything possible. No action at all and no signs of scorching or swollen caps.

I guess I need to buy another AM4 board, because I've got a decent video card and 16 gigarams I can't use in anything else that's running.

This is bad enough, in itself, to make me not want to go to the USA any time soon. What bothers me most though, is as someone who doesn't actually have a "traditional" social media presence at all that if I get to the border and say that, they just won't believe me and it'll escalate rapidly.
