According to the emails I keep receiving, someone is very keen on logging into the instagram account I haven't used for nearly a decade. Certainly a lot keener than I am.

If anyone wants the gory details - Proxmox Backup Server provides a fingerprint in the connection info for its datastores which is noted as "required for self-signed certificates" in the Proxmox VE storage options when adding one as a backup location.

It should ideally say "only add this for self-signed certificates" because otherwise when your (for example) Let's Encrypt certificates renew, the fingerprint will change, and the storage will become unavailable.
