OK, I have now updated all the nodes, test rebooted each one, and I know that it'll actually do a relatively clean shutdown if the power goes out and the UPS hits 50%.

Any single server can fail and everything will keep ticking. It's probably about as solid a setup as it's possible to get in a home environment.

Next on the wishlist is a proper 10Gb switch for the storage interconnects, it's all cross-connected DACs and bridged ports now which is ... fine ... but it imposes a hard limit of 3 nodes participating in the storage pool. Not that I need more now but it'd be nice to have the option.

Well it's not perfect but it's definitely more manageable now, and when I get around to switching to the new router it'll be pretty simple to just plug it all in.
